The “Garden of Eden” series is inspired by our wild mini botanical tropical garden that is a combination of various shapes, colors, and sizes. The garden has been a source of wonder, strength and the persistence of life to adapt and change. The painting process took many months while challenging my thoughts, skills and patience to allow the journey to unfold.
Painting the essence of the garden has been challenging. There is a physical wildness that dares to be tamed, a collective spiritualness contributed by each living plant and the participants immersion in its glory.
My idea for "Garden of Peace and Hope - Tranquility for the Soul" is to share the garden experience that offers strength, peace, tranquility and a place to daydream. The size of the painting offers a chance to experience intimacy and a chance to wander and wonder.
